Organising notes is much easier on OneNote. I find the overall experience with writing my notes on my Surface to be better than on paper. You can set this OneNote page as the default template for a section so that all new pages in that section use the template. Below is a link to a OneNote document set up to this style as well as the picture used for the Cornell margins (in case anyone wants to change it for themselves). The grid lines can be swapped out to ruled if preferred. The left-hand margin is 2.5" away from the left-hand side of the page and the bottom margin is 2" away from the bottom of the page. I'm posting this to Reddit just in case anyone else is interested in using it. So, I created a Cornell template for OneNote that is purpose-built for handwriting. All the other templates on the internet seemed to be built with typing in mind. However, I couldn't find any good way of doing it in OneNote on my Surface tablet with handwriting. As a college student that has gone completely digital for my studies, I was looking for a way to use the Cornell method of note-taking, as that seems to be what people are recommending for lectures.
